Shedrach Udugbai, a Political Analyst and Environmentalist, has stated that he recently watched a video where former President Obasanjo told members of the ADC who visited him that he was getting close to his grave and wanted to ensure Nigeria works before he dies
In a video shared by Symfoni TV from 24:25, Udugbai said when he heard those words, he laughed because Obasanjo had already been given the opportunity to make Nigeria better when the Fourth Republic began in 1999. He said Obasanjo had the full capacity and influence to build a strong democratic system that would have transformed Nigeria’s future.
Udugbai stated that rather than using that opportunity to create a lasting foundation for good governance, Obasanjo failed to do what was necessary
In Udugbai’s words: “I watched when Olusegun Obasanjo was saying that, ‘Oh, where he is going now is not very far’ when he was being paid visit by the ADC group. He said that where he is going to is now very close and that he is getting close to his grave, that he wants to ensure that Nigeria works. I looked at him and I laughed. I said this was a man whom Nigeria’s 4th Republic was handed over to, he had the capacity to reposition and ensure that Nigeria has sustainable democracy. What did he do?” See, More, Here>>>
