Lere Olayinka, the senior special adviser to the former governor of Rivers State and FCT minister Nyesom Wike recently reacted after AriseTv anchor, Oseni Rufai was captured on camera threatening to call a governor on law enforcement agents. According to the statements which were shared on his official X handle, he pointed out that most people forming moral police will do worse if given the position of power.
Renowned journalist and AriseTv Anchor, Oseni Rufai has come under intense scrutiny from the special adviser on media to the former governor of Rivers State and FCT minister Nyesom Wike for his actions during a roadside altercation involving law enforcement agents.
The AriseTv presenter, it can be recalled had been critical of the current administration, especially the FCT minister Nyesom Wike. However, according to Lere Olayinka, the renowned journalist will do worse if he were given the position of power as evident in the clip that surfaced online.
According to Lere Olayinka pointed, the journalist broke the law and must not be questioned. To buttress his claims, the special adviser pointed out that Oseni Rufai attempted to physically abuse the law enforcement agents, threatening ‘I will call the governor’.
He further pointed out that the journalist whom he described as a ‘moral police’ might even abuse his colleagues if ever he assumed the position of a Senate President. According to Lere Olayinka, most people forming morality will do worse if given the position of power.
