Lere Olayinka, the senior special adviser on media to former governor of Rivers State and FCT minister Nyesom Wike recently reacted after Patience Jonathan, the wife to former President Goodluck Jonathan disclosed that she will campaign for president Tinubu’s re-election. According to the statements which were shared on his official X handle, he also pointed out that the former First Lady ruled out a return to Aso Rock.
Dame Patience Jonathan, the wife to former President Goodluck Jonathan recently caused a stir after she ruled out a return to the government house. The former First Lady who was well known for her candid views left no room for suspense as she revealed that she will be be campaigning alongside the first lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu.
Reacting, Lere Olayinka, a senior special adviser to FCT minister Nyesom Wike in the statements which were shared on his official X handle, made the disclosure and pointed out that that the former first lady was not interested in a return to Aso Rock.
According to Lere Olayinka, Patience Jonathan was quoted as saying, “All the way, we are with you. No shaking. We will follow. Direct us and we will follow. Because there is only one president at the time. We don’t have two presidents. I am outspoken….I believe in one president. I believe in turn-by-turn. When it’s your turn I’ll support you….” she said.
The former first lady also applauded the president’s daughter, acknowledging her as the daughter to Nigeria’s wonderful president during the event which was held in Abuja.
