Professor Jerry Gana, one of the founding fathers of the People’s Democratic Party has lift the lid on the events that led to the disastrous outing of the party in the 2023 presidential elections. According to his statements during a recent interview on AriseTv, he disclosed how former Rivers governor Nyesom Wike was terribly maltreated after the unanimously agreed to win the presidency.

The 2023 presidential elections was full of surprises as a rigorous process saw the ruling APC held on to power. However, Professor Jerry Gana, a Chieftain of the opposition PDP made a startling revelation.

Speaking during a highly monitored interview on AriseTv, Jerry Gana, one of the founding fathers of the party disclosed that after series of meetings, they unanimously agreed to wrestle power off the ruling APC.

However, according to the Professor, after some certain agreements were made, former Rivers State governor and current FCT minister, Nyesom Wike was bitterly betrayed.

He further pointed out that contrary to public opinions, Nyesom Wike was a lover of the PDP and was fully invested in the party, however, he was grossly misunderstood.

“People misunderstand Wike, Wike is a lover of the PDP, he would’ve gone long ago… Genuinely not only that he does he love the PDP he is also deliberately invested in the PDP….Some of the things that happened that pained him, just watch him between now and the next convention you’ll see Wike change, because rarely he was terribly maltreated.” He said.
