Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, Nyesom Wike, has addressed speculations about his potential defection to the All Progressives Congress (APC), stating that he is not one to make secretive political moves. He emphasized that if he ever decides to switch parties, he will announce it openly and not shy away from public scrutiny.

He also criticized some governors for their handling of party affairs, particularly in the Southeast. Using Enugu as an example, he acknowledged the governor’s ambition to lead the region but stressed that true leadership requires strategic decision-making and sacrifices for the party’s progress.

He said in a live coverage by TVC from 7:10, “If I move to APC, I will tell you. I don’t run away from fights. I will tell the world—I don’t do things in hiding. I will come out and say it openly. You see, I don’t run away from fights. I stand on my ground. The governors have the money, but they are not using it well for the party. Look at Enugu. The governor wants to be the leader of the Southeast. I agree with that. But as a leader, you must play the game well; you must make sacrifices.”
