Lere Olayinka, the senior special adviser on media to the former governor of Rivers State and FCT minister, Nyesom Wike recently reacted after the PDP zoned it’s presidency to the South and chairman to the North. According to the statements which were shared on his official X handle, he pointed out that the former governor has been vindicated.
The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in a bid to follow laid down procedures and douse tensions within it’s rank, announced the zoning of it’s presidency to the South and the position of the chairman to the North.
The move however, quickly garnered widespread traction across various social media platforms, drawing mixed reactions from different quarters, including Lere Olayinka, Nyesom Wike’s special adviser.
According to the statements which were shared on his official X handle, the special adviser widely admired for his outspokenness, pointed out that Nyesom Wike has been vindicated over the zoning.
It can be recalled that the dysfunctional zoning structure of the PDP had left to the catastrophic outing of the party in the 2023 presidential polls. However, the recent move was an indication that the PDP was on the right track.

“Now that the party has realized it’s mistake of not listening to Wike and the G5 in 2022, and have chosen to do what they said, three years after, have they not been vindicated now?” Lere Olayinka curiously asked.
