Following the statement that was made by APC member and President Tinubu’s Aide, Bayo Onanuga that Peter Obi should be hold responsible, the Labour Party has reacted.

On Saturday, Bayo Onanuga made a post on his X account calling for the arrest of Peter Obi over the nationwide protest. His statement has triggered several comments from many Nigerians

Responding to Bayo Onanuga’s claim, the Labour Party has stated that no opposition has control over protest. LP said popular protests that have been carried out in countries like Egypt, Kenya and others were as a result of people’s frustration against the government. LP clarified that Peter Obi and his supporters are not planning any protest. The party said Nigerians have the right to protest and it is within their constitutional right.

According to Labour Party on its X account;

“No opposition has any control over protests. Popular protests such as in Kenya, Egypt and several other places were a direct registration of the people’s frustration against the government. The people have the right to protest and it is within their constitutional right”….Seë_Morë
