U.S. President Donald Trump has publicly declared the recent U.S. airstrikes on Iran’s nuclear infrastructure a “spectacular military success,” stating that key nuclear enrichment sites in Natanz, Fordow, and Esfahan were “completely and totally obliterated.”

Speaking alongside the Secretary of State, Vice President, and Secretary of Defense, Trump announced that the objective of the strikes was to dismantle Iran’s nuclear enrichment capacity and halt what he described as a growing threat from “the world’s number one state sponsor of terror.”

“For 40 years, Iran has targeted Americans and Israelis, using tactics such as roadside bombs and proxy attacks,” Trump said, referencing the death toll attributed to Iranian-backed operations across the Middle East. He cited the killing of Iranian General Qasem Soleimani as a turning point in U.S. strategy against Iran’s regional influence.

He commended both the U.S. and Israeli militaries for their coordination, specifically thanking Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Israeli forces for their role. “We worked as a team, like perhaps no team has ever worked before,” he added.

Trump praised the efforts of the American military and acknowledged General Dan Raisen Kane, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, as well as Secretary of Defense Pete Hexth for their leadership. He also confirmed a Pentagon briefing would be held at 8 a.m. the following day to provide more operational details.

Calling the strikes one of the most complex military operations in decades, Trump said: “There is no military in the world that could have done what we did tonight—not even close.”

He warned that if Iran does not pursue peace, future operations could target additional sites “with precision, speed, and skill.” However, he expressed hope that military action on this scale would not be necessary again.
