Communications Consultant, Ibrahim Garba has weighed in on the ongoing trial of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) leader, Nnamdi Kanu, urging restraint and composure as the case progresses in court.
Speaking during an interview on TVC News from 5:49, Garba described the situation surrounding Kanu’s prosecution as complex and unpredictable, noting that the legal process should be allowed to take its natural course without unnecessary agitation or interference.
“It’s a dicey situation for Kanu. I would have loved Kanu to calm down, let’s see what happens at the end of the day, whether he is going to be discharged or sentenced,then we can plead for mercy” he said.
Garba pointed out that the case has generated significant public interest and political tension, but insisted that emotional reactions or provocative statements could do more harm than good. According to him, a calm and measured approach from Kanu would not only project leadership but could also help de-escalate tensions among his followers.
He further stressed that patience and trust in the judicial process remain essential, urging all parties involved to avoid creating further instability through inflammatory remarks or demonstrations. “The best way to handle such sensitive cases is to remain calm and allow justice to run its course,” Garba added.
