Three Nigerian students have recently gained widespread recognition for their outstanding performance in the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), achieving high scores that left social media buzzing. One of the top scorers was Saleh Fatima Alkali from northern Nigeria, who achieved an aggregate score of 336 in the 2024 UTME. Fatima’s remarkable performance included 68 in English Language, 93 in Mathematics, 87 in Physics, and 88 in Chemistry. Her academic excellence caught the attention of social media users, with many celebrating her achievement. Another prodigy, Jamachi Osuji, a 16-year-old student from Government Secondary School Owerri, made waves with an aggregate score of 339 in the 2023 UTME. Jamachi scored 71 in English, 88 in Mathematics, 88 in Physics, and 92 in Chemistry. His success was highlighted on Facebook by former students of his school, who praised the school’s ability to produce such exceptional talent. Jamachi’s accomplishments didn’t stop there he also excelled in the Scholastic Assessment Test (SAT) with a score of 1520 out of 1600, earning a scholarship for Robotics Engineering at a prestigious university in the United States.
The third student, Eneke Caleb Chimoinou, set an impressive benchmark with an aggregate score of 346. Caleb’s scores included 65 in Use of English, 95 in Mathematics, 91 in Chemistry, and 95 in Physics. His outstanding performance resonated with many, who admired his hard work and dedication. Caleb’s results served as a testament to the rewards of perseverance and focus in academics.
