Talented Nollywood actress Regina Daniels has responded strongly to allegations made by her estranged husband, Senator Ned Nwoko, stressing that marriage is not by force and urging him to stop attempting to control what no longer belongs to him.
This development comes after Nwoko accused Regina of being deeply involved in drug abuse, claiming that her alleged addiction was influenced by some of her siblings and close friends. His comments, which circulated widely online, ignited fresh conversations about their controversial relationship and the circumstances surrounding their separation.
According to a report by PM News, on Sunday, November 9, 2025, Regina took to her official Instagram account to clear the air. In a video statement, she dismissed Nwoko’s claims and firmly set the record straight regarding their relationship status. She explained that she had no grounds to file for divorce because, according to her, no legal marriage ever took place between them.
In her words, “I would have filed for divorce long ago if there was ever a legal marriage between us. Marriage is not by force. Love is not by force. Stop trying to control what no longer belongs to you.”
The actress went further to emphasize the sacrifices she made during their time together, noting that her time, energy, youth, and career opportunities were far more valuable than any financial investment he may claim to have made.
She added, “Let me make this very clear. No matter how much you think you spent on me, it can never equal the value of the time I gave you—my prime years, my energy, and the career opportunities I sacrificed while being with you. And for the record, we were never married in any court of law. Leave me alone, Ned. Marriage is not by force. Love is not by force.” View, More,
