Senator Ned Nwoko has issued a strong reaction following an online allegation by a man who accused the lawmaker of allegedly paying hired killers N5 million to kill his wife.
In an official statement released by his communications team on 4th November 2025, the allegation was described as part of a coordinated campaign of cyberstalking, online harassment and criminal defamation aimed at tarnishing the Senator’s image and creating a false narrative for ulterior motives. The team maintained that Senator Nwoko remains focused on his legislative, developmental and business responsibilities and has no interest in online distractions or fabricated drama.
The statement noted that while the Senator does not engage in social media battles, serious allegations must be addressed strictly through lawful and verified processes, not through misinformation or emotional manipulation meant to mislead the public.
As a result of the accusation, Senator Nwoko has instructed his legal team to formally petition the Inspector General of Police, the Director-General of the Department of State Services (DSS), and the Commissioner of Police in charge of the Cybercrime Unit to investigate the matter. The office stated that digital footprints of those involved in the alleged defamation will be traced and all offenders prosecuted according to the law.
Nigerians were advised to disregard unverified narratives in circulation and allow the appropriate legal procedures to take their course. The communications team reaffirmed that the Senator remains committed to his duties and to upholding dignity, responsibility and the rule of law. View, More,
