Hussain Abdul-Hussain, a well-known journalist and commentator, shared a striking observation on his verified Twitter account regarding the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hezbollah in Lebanon.

In his tweet, Abdul-Hussain pointed out the Lebanese people’s apparent confidence in Israel’s precision strikes, as many locals have been seen filming Israeli Air Force (IAF) attacks on Hezbollah targets. “The Lebanese are so confident of Israel precision that they stand not far away, turn on their cameras, and capture IAF razing down Hezbollah buildings in Lebanon,” he tweeted.

The comment highlights a paradox in the conflict: while Hezbollah, led by Hassan Nasrallah, has long positioned itself as the protector of Lebanon from Israeli threats, recent events suggest that confidence in Hezbollah’s ability to shield the country may be waning. Abdul-Hussain added a critical note about Nasrallah, the Hezbollah leader, stating, “Nasrallah promised them protection. He couldn’t protect his own self.”

This observation comes in the context of heightened tensions between Israel and Hezbollah, with the latter frequently targeting Israeli positions while Israel continues to retaliate with airstrikes aimed at neutralizing Hezbollah infrastructure. Despite Hezbollah’s claims of defending Lebanon, the increasing civilian confidence in Israel’s precision bombing underscores a possible shift in public sentiment.
