A grieving widow in Ogun State has accused hotel staff of killing her husband and later demanding a ransom of N20 million despite being responsible for his death. The heartbreaking incident has sparked outrage and calls for a thorough investigation.

According to the widow, the ordeal began after her husband reportedly checked into a hotel in Ogun State. The hotel staff later claimed he had checked out only for his body to be found within the same premises.

“My son was in the living room, and I heard him shout, ‘My daddy!’ He received a call that the body of my husband was found in the same hotel where they claimed he had checked out previously. That’s all I know,” she said tearfully.

What makes the situation even more shocking is that the hotel workers allegedly contacted the family demanding a ransom of N20 million even after the man had died. The widow believes this may have been a ploy to cover up their role in his mysterious death.

The Ogun State Police Command has yet to issue a detailed statement, but sources confirm that an investigation is underway.

This incident adds to a troubling trend of violence linked to hotels and lodges across the state. In recent months, several similar cases including murder and robbery have been reported raising questions about safety standards and internal security protocols in hospitality businesses.

The victim’s family is calling for justice and the immediate arrest of all parties involved. They are also urging the government to regulate hotel operations more closely to prevent future tragedies.

As the investigation unfolds, many Nigerians are demanding transparency and accountability to ensure the grieving family gets the justice they deserve.
