Sylvester Ebere Ndubuisi, a trader from Kaduna has stated that his son, Gabriel Ndubuisi died from a mysterious illness.

According to a Punch report, Sylvester said Gabriel suddenly began experiencing severe leg pain which got worse over time and eventually made him unable to walk. He said he took Gabriel to Ahmadu Bello University Teaching Hospital in Zaria where a surgery was performed on him but he died shortly after the operation.

Ndubuisi explained that on the morning of Gabriel’s death, everything seemed normal. He said although Gabriel had been in pain the previous night between 8 p.m. and 9 p.m., by morning, he was able to eat and hold conversations. Ndubuisi said he never imagined that would be his son’s final day. He said “The only thing he kept saying was ‘Daddy, please don’t go, don’t leave me.’ If I needed to step out to get medicine, he would plead, ‘Daddy, I don’t want you to leave me.’ That was the last thing I remember him saying. I didn’t know that was going to be the end.
