Entrepreneur and content creator Dedun Oluwo said Easter Sunday in April 2021 was the day everything collapsed for her when she discovered her husband had been in contact with someone he had no business speaking to.
She recounted the painful moment in detail during a conversation with host Chude from 04:56, saying that the discovery came late at night when she picked up his phone to start a conversation she had been trying to have.
She said she had spent the entire Easter day alone, cooking breakfast, lunch and dinner while waiting for her husband to come home, only for him to arrive, eat separately and go straight to bed without engaging with her. Oluwo said she had been in a restless, emotionally full state for hours before she finally reached for his phone and found messages that confirmed her worst fears.
She said: “I woke up on Easter Sunday and he was not at home. When I messaged him he said he was at church. So I made breakfast. By 12:00 he was still not back. I made lunch. He was not there. I made dinner. He was still not there. Easter Sunday. By the time he walked into the house he just greeted me and then went into the room while I was finishing up dinner. When I was done, he took his food and went back into the room. I had had it. I sent a message on his phone because I didn’t want to go in there and start an argument. But the message didn’t deliver. So I waited. I stayed in the living room till about 12. Then by 4 a.m. I took his phone while it was charging and the screen came on and I started seeing messages.
