According to a report by Punch Newspaper on Sunday, September 7, 2025, Shade Ajiboye, wife of 46-year-old security man, Wale, who was among the three people killed by gunmen in Rore community, Irepodun Local Government Area of Kwara State, has shared how her husband’s sudden death has left her in deep confusion.

She recalled that her late husband had left home as usual without any sign of danger, only for her to later receive the devastating news of his death.

According to her, the day was like every other day, and there was nothing unusual before he left for work.

She explained that Wale had prepared himself and said goodbye to the family, not knowing it would be the last time they would see him alive.

The shocking incident has continued to cause pain in her heart, especially because he never showed any sign of trouble before leaving home.

She noted that her husband had good intentions for their children and worked hard to give them the little he could afford.

Despite his modest means, he always made sure they had their needs met, and he planned carefully for their future.

Shade revealed that before the tragedy, they had already mapped out the skills each of their children would learn.

She said one of them had been preparing to learn tailoring, another welding, while others had chosen different trades.

Wale was fully committed to supporting them in those choices, hoping it would secure a better future for them.

She further added that one of their children had even shown interest in learning barbing, which was a trade his father had practiced in the past before becoming a security man.

The plan was for all the children to acquire different skills and become independent in life, but those dreams have now been cut short with his untimely death.

The grieving widow described her husband as a man who struggled to give his best despite his limited resources.

She emphasized that he cared deeply for his family and always thought about their future, even if it meant making sacrifices for their well-being.

She expressed that the tragedy has left her with unanswered questions, as she never imagined that a normal day would end with such devastating news.

She said: It was just like every other day. There was no sign that anything would happen. He prepared himself and said goodbye, and we didn’t know he would not return to us.

Wale had good plans for his children, and he tried his best to provide for them based on what he could afford. We had agreed on the skill each of the children would learn. One was to learn tailoring, another welding, and the rest different trades. Even one of them decided to learn barbing, which his father had done earlier when he was alive.
