Idi Amin was the president of Uganda from 1971 to 1979. He is widely regarded as one of the most brutal dictators in African history. Amin’s regime was characterized by widespread human rights abuses, including torture, murder, and rape. He was responsible for the deaths of an estimated 300,000 people during his rule. Amin was eventually ousted from power, but his legacy of violence and oppression continues to haunt Uganda to this day.
3. Mobutu Sese Seko
Mobutu Sese Seko was the president of the Democratic Republic of Congo from 1965 to 1997. He rose to power through a military coup and ruled the country with an iron fist for over three decades. Joseph Kony is the leader of the Lord’s Resistance Army (LRA), a rebel group that operates in Uganda and other parts of Central Africa. Kony has been indicted by the International Criminal Court for war crimes and crimes against humanity. Despite a global manhunt, he has yet to be captured.
