Dr. Moses Paul has taken to his official X account to react to report claiming that the former governor of Anambra state, Peter Obi is willing to be Vice President in the 2027 presidential election.
According to ARISE NEWS, Peter Obi said he is willing to be a running mate to any candidate who is better than him in the next presidential election.
Reacting to the report, Moses Paul said he was present with Peter Obi in the studio during the interview on NEWS CENTRAL TV and there was no time that he made such statement. Moses Paul went further to post the exact statement that Peter Obi made during the interview.
Dr Moses Paul stated that this was the exact words of Peter Obi when he was asked about collaboration;
“Yes, I would remain here (in the Labour Party), and if anyone wants to negotiate or come together, they must tell me their intentions. I will not join anyone for state capture or just to win an election. I want them to explain how we will ensure that no child is left behind and how we will get the millions of out-of-school children back into classrooms”.
