As the political atmosphere intensifies ahead of 2027, prominent Labour Party chieftain Dr. Ezeh Emmanuel has thrown a sharp rebuke at critics disturbed by former presidential candidate Peter Obi’s involvement in talks with the African Democratic Congress (ADC). The comment comes amid increasing friction between opposition camps and speculation about the shape of a potential unified front against the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

In a video posted on YouTube from 3:51, Ezeh suggested that those alarmed by Obi’s appearance at ADC meetings were already struggling to contain the reality of a growing alliance that could shift the balance of power. His statement, laced with sarcasm, underlined the emotional toll the development may be taking on political opponents.

According to him, “All those who are panicking because they see Peter Obi in ADC and all that, they can continue to panic and drink their high blood pressure medicine to make sure that they don’t go to sleep and not wake up the next morning. But it is all unfolding in our very eyes. A new Nigeria is possible.”

The comments come in the wake of online clashes between Obidients and Atikulates, prompting ADC to issue a statement calling for restraint and unity. The party urged supporters to trust the process and refrain from further attacks that could derail the coalition’s goals.
