Lere Olayinka, a media aide to former Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike, has reacted after being blocked by veteran journalist and publisher Dele Momodu on Facebook and X (formerly Twitter).

Olayinka made this known in a post on his own X page, where he claimed that this isn’t the first time Momodu has blocked him. He said something similar happened in 2018 when Momodu was allegedly working with Rotimi Amaechi and Kayode Fayemi. At the time, Momodu reportedly insulted former Ekiti State Governor Ayo Fayose, and Olayinka said he confronted him.

According to him, Momodu later unblocked him in 2022 when he needed access to Fayose for an interview.

This latest clash seems to have started after Olayinka began criticizing Momodu for “insulting” Wike frequently on social media. In response to the heat, Olayinka says Momodu has now blocked him again.

Mocking the move, Olayinka said, “Na so insult dey pain Egbon Dele Momodu, Gbendu Gbendu ikun bi oya” — a Yoruba expression suggesting Momodu is overly sensitive to criticism.

Their recent exchange is part of an ongoing online drama, where both men have been throwing strong words at each other over political differences and personal loyalty.
