Maxwell Opara, a Nigerian lawyer, has shared his perspectives regarding the call for the release of Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).
Recently, several Nigerians led by human rights activist Omoyele Sowore have taken to the streets to demand the unconditional release of Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).
In this regard, the Federal High Court in Abuja approved the demonstration but barred demonstrators from marching to or assembling around the presidential villa at Aso Rock.
However, in the video from 2:17, the legal practitioner, Maxwell Opara, stated that the judiciary system is the root of the challenges in Nigeria.
He emphasized that the demonstrators complied with the court order restraining them from assembling around the presidential villa, and yet they are being teargassed and dispersed by security agencies.
Furthermore, in a swift turn of events, Maxwell Opara mentioned that although he and his spouse are legal practitioners, Nigerian lawyers and judges are the cause of the country’s problems.
According to the video, “The judiciary is the problem of this country. I am talking about lawyers and judges. I am a lawyer, my wife is a lawyer, and my son will soon be a lawyer. The problems of this country are lawyers and judges.” See, More, Here>>>
