The former chairman of the governing board, Niger Delta Development Commission, Lauretta Onochie, has taken to her official X account on Wednesday, August 13, 2025 to react after the flight ban that was placed on popular Fuji musician, K1 De Ultimate was reduced.
This came after the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority, NCAA, placed a six-month ban on K1 De Ultimate for trying to stop a plane from taking off at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Airport in Abuja.
According to the post that the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo shared on his official page, he said the ban has been reduced to one month.
According to Festus Keyamo;
“In the case of KWAM 1, the NCAA is to reduce his flight ban to a one-month period”.
Reacting, Lauretta Onochie criticized the decision. She said when former President, Muhammadu Buhari launched War Against Indiscipline (WAI) some years back, he was described as a dictator.
Lauretta Onochie said today, indiscipline has grown in the country. She said people now try to hijack a plane.
According to Lauretta Onochie on her official X account;
“In 1984, Buhari launched War Against Indiscipline (WAI). He was labelled a dictator. Indiscipline has now grown to lawlessness and impunity”.
