In a recent statement, an ex-Northern governor voiced his thoughts on President Bola Tinubu’s efforts in managing the economy, particularly in terms of reducing the prices of goods.

The former governor highlighted that there has been notable progress, especially in the face of challenging economic times. “Secondly, I found out that the prices of goods are going down, more especially during this difficult time that we’re approaching. There’s progress. Tell us, report us. There’s progress so that we can add more,” he remarked. His emphasis was on the positive changes that have been happening, despite the ongoing difficulties facing the country.

As part of his example, the former governor shared his personal experience with price changes over the last year. “Last year, even during or after the rainy season, I bought 100 kg of millet at 84,000, but today, Mr. President, it’s 65 to 60,” he said, highlighting a significant decrease in the cost of essential goods.
