Public affairs analyst and legal scholar Sam Amadi has faulted Bala Gombe over his ongoing court action challenging the leadership of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), accusing him of deliberately creating confusion within the party at a critical time.
Amadi made this assertion during an interview from 4:56 on SYMFONI TV while reacting to the internal crisis rocking the ADC, particularly the dispute over leadership claims that has now escalated to the courts. The controversy has drawn attention amid recent political realignments involving key figures reportedly joining the party.
Speaking during the interview, Amadi suggested that the timing of Gombe’s legal move raises serious concerns about intent, especially as the party appears to be gaining momentum. “Kwankwaso who is a very powerful political actor joined a couple of days ago, today was scheduled for governor of Bauchi to join and the night before, you hit this bazooka to just create confusion,” he said.
He argued that such actions could undermine efforts to strengthen the opposition, noting that the ADC had recently begun attracting influential political actors. According to Amadi, the development suggests a calculated attempt to destabilize the party at a moment when it is positioning itself as a viable platform ahead of future elections.
The analyst further stressed that internal disputes should be handled in a way that preserves party unity rather than deepening divisions. He warned that prolonged legal battles and conflicting leadership claims could weaken the party’s credibility in the eyes of Nigerians. Read_More…
