In a bold statement, Yoav Gallant, Israel’s Minister of Defense, confirmed the elimination of Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah, labeling him as the mastermind behind the deaths of thousands of Israelis and foreign nationals.
In a tweet on his verified account, Gallant emphasized that Nasrallah had posed an immediate threat to the lives of countless individuals, including both Israelis and other citizens.
Gallant’s message was clear: Israel is unwavering in its resolve to protect its people. “To our enemies I say: we are strong and determined,” he declared, signaling Israel’s readiness to defend itself against any external threats. The tweet also served as a warning to those who oppose the state of Israel, reinforcing that the nation would not hesitate to take decisive action in its defense.
The defense minister also addressed Israel’s international allies, asserting that Israel’s war is not only its own but one that affects the global community. “To our partners, I would say: our war, is your war,” Gallant stated, a reminder of the shared security interests in the region.
However, Gallant struck a more conciliatory tone towards Lebanon, where Hezbollah is based. He assured the Lebanese people that Israel’s conflict is not with them. “Our war is not with you,” he said, adding, “It’s time for change,” signaling Israel’s desire for peace and stability in the region, despite the ongoing hostilities with Hezbollah.
