Iran’s Supreme Leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, has praised the Iranian people for their show of solidarity and resistance during Quds Day, amid escalating tensions in the Middle East.
The remarks were made in a post shared on X, where the Iranian leader highlighted what he described as both military and non-military dimensions of Iran’s strength in the face of its adversaries. The statement comes at a time of heightened confrontation involving Iran, Israel, and allied forces, with ongoing exchanges of threats and military actions across the region.
In his message, Mojtaba Khamenei emphasized that Iran’s power extends beyond conventional warfare, pointing to the unity and resolve of its citizens as a critical factor.
“On Quds Day, you, Iranian people, made the enemy realize that he was not only dealing with missiles, drones, torpedoes, and military affairs and that Iran’s front line is much bigger than his [the enemy’s] humble and small mentality,” he said.
Quds Day, observed annually on the last Friday of Ramadan, is marked by rallies across Iran and in other parts of the world in support of Palestinians and opposition to Israel.
