Nigerian lawyer and politician, Kenneth Okonkwo has stated that he doesn’t have any personal problem with the former governor of Anambra state and Labour Party, LP, candidate in the 2023 presidential election, Peter Gregory Obi.

This statement was contained in a viral video from 0.24, that was posted on the official X handle of CHANNELS TV on Friday, September 12, 2025.

In the viral video that surfaced online, the lawyer stated that the alliance between him and Peter Obi ended as soon as he resigned from the Labour Party. He said Peter Obi remains his brother and he does not have any personal issue with him.

Speaking about the presidential election in 2027, Kenneth Okonkwo stated that he will only support anybody who wins the primary election in the African Democratic Congress, ADC.

He said everyone must join hands together to unseat the ruling party in the next election.

Here is what Kenneth Okonkwo said in the viral video;

“There is no personal reason. I made it clear that whatever happens to Labour Party has happened to our alliance. That’s just it. I have said whoever wins the election of ADC in the presidential primary, I will support. We met ourselves in the Labour Party and I said going forward, there must be a new arrangement. And you have the right to do what you want going forward. I don’t have any personal problem with my brother Peter Obi. There is nothing”.
