Ben Igweh, the former Commissioner of Police for the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) who was recently promoted to Assistant Inspector General (AIG), has expressed his gratitude for the support from FCT Minister Nyesom Wike in tackling insecurity in the area.
In a video recently shared by News Central TV from 2:03, Igweh who is now in charge of Zone 7, which includes both the FCT and Niger State, emphasized how both he and Wike were actively involved in night patrols to prevent criminal activities such as kidnappings and bandit attacks. Igweh emphasized the importance of staying vigilant, as any lapse in security could allow criminals to infiltrate and cause harm.
In Igweh’s words: “Without fear or favour he supported us with the work. When people call me and ask why I am always in the bush on patrol in the night, I say because the minister Nyesom Wike is equally on patrol in the night. If you sleep, the kidnappers will enter. If you slumber before you wake up the Bandits will take over”….S££ – MOR£
