Former Governor of Edo State, Senator Adams Oshiomhole, highlighted the shift in priorities under the current administration, noting that essential facilities like libraries and hospitals were replaced with commercial ventures. He emphasized that his candidate aims to restore these vital services, including transforming the library into a digital hub, establishing a Benin Royal Museum in collaboration with the palace, and addressing flooding through the Benin Water Storm project.
He also commended the addition of Igbinedion to the APC, describing it as a significant advantage. Oshiomhole encouraged voters to support a change, suggesting that the PDP and its candidate have not adequately represented the people’s needs
He said in a report by The Sun, “They claim to be technocrats and in this era of seeking knowledge, they destroyed a library and replaced it with Shoprite. I can assure you that our candidate will turn it back into a digital library.
They destroyed a hospital and are building a museum for them to re-loot returned artifacts that belonged to the palace, our candidate will partner with the palace to build the Benin Royal Museum for the kingdom. He will rebuild the Benin Water Storm project and desilt the city to check flooding.”….Seê –– Morê
