The National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress, Felix Morka has said that the recent criticisms from Peter Obi and Atiku Abubakar toward President Bola Tinubu’s administration are driven by fear of Tinubu’s potential success in the 2027 presidential election.

Morka shared this view during an interview on Arise TV from 26:17, where he argued that both opposition leaders are alarmed by the possibility of Tinubu’s programs significantly resonating with Nigerians, leading to widespread support for his re-election.

According to Morka, Tinubu’s administration has already laid out a robust economic plan aimed at transforming the nation. He stated that the ongoing implementation of these initiatives could win the confidence of Nigerians, making it difficult for the opposition to mount a credible challenge in the next election cycle. Morka stated that this fear has prompted a wave of attacks from opposition figures, who are concerned about their diminishing chances of securing the presidency in 2027.

Morka further questioned the leadership credentials of Obi and Atiku, highlighting their inability to resolve internal disputes within their own political parties. He argued that this incapacity undermines their credibility as viable alternatives to Tinubu. He stated that Nigerians would be reluctant to trust the nation’s leadership to individuals who cannot effectively manage the internal affairs of their parties.

He said, “Given this president’s robust economic plan and transformation of our country, they are concerned that if this program is allowed to go the full term, Nigerians in 2027 will massively elect this president to govern again. How does any Nigerian even begin to believe that people who cannot even manage their own internal affairs, can govern Nigeria better than this visionary president that we have.”
