An Australia based Syrian Islamic Scholar, Abdallah Al-Tamimi has discussed the longstanding attempts by Israel to establish peace with Arab and Muslim nations. He argued that the Arabs and Muslims nations have been unable to overcome Israel due to the significant military and political power that Israel possesses, along with its allies.

He emphasized that the military capabilities of the surrounding Muslim nations are not comparable to those of Israel, stating that they are even less than a quarter of Israel’s power. He identified that pursuing peace with Israel is not only pragmatic but also an obligatory religious duty for the countries in the region.

He said in an interview with AIJAC from 0:10, ‘Israel has been extending its hand in peace to Arabs and Muslims for a long time. The Arabs and Muslims are unable to conquer Israel because of the Muslim power surrounding Israel. And it is not even a quarter or a tenth of the power of Israel and its allies. Therefore, peace with the Israelites is an obligatory religious duty for the countries surrounding Israel.”
