The executive Governor of Rivers state and chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, Siminalayi Fubara has reacted after members of the Police Officers Wives Association led by the wife of the Inspector General of Police, Dr. Mrs. Elizabeth Egbetokun and her entourage visited him.

Governor Siminalayi Fubara noted that he assured members of the Police Officers Wives Association of his government support to ensuring that their objective of supporting the families of dead Police Officers is maintained and enhanced.

Governor of Rivers state, Siminalayi Fubara stated on his verified Twitter page on Saturday; “As part of our commitment to collaborating with the security agencies, I received on a courtesy visit members of the Police Officers Wives Association led by the wife of the Inspector General of Police, Dr. Mrs. Elizabeth Egbetokun and her entourage.”

He added; “We assured them of our support to ensuring that their objective of supporting the families of dead Police Officers is maintained & enhanced. The support serves as encouragement to serving officers, affirming that their families would not be abandoned in the event of any calamity.”

The Peoples Democratic Party chieftain stated further; “I commended them for their respect for our government as confirmed by their visit.”
