The former governor of Anambra state, Peter Obi has taken to his official X account to react to the explosion that happened at the Orlu International market in Imo state.
According to the post that the former governor of Anambra state shared on his page, he said the explosion claimed precious lives and injured many others.
Peter Obi said Imo state was still reeling from the shock of the explosion when a fatal accident occurred around Njaba area of the state and claimed the lives of no fewer than 20 people.
The former governor of Anambra state urged the state government to investigate the occurrences.
According to Peter Obi;
“My heart goes out to the government and people of Imo State over the wave of tragic events that occurred in the State recently. First was a reported improvised explosive device (IED) explosion at Orlu International Market, which claimed precious lives and injured many others. I am sincerely saddened by these tragic occurrences which has left families in grief”.
