Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, has reacted to Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso’s, the NNPP Chieftain’s, statement about winning the 2027 election after being asked to comment.

When the presenter asked Peter Obi that,

“Kwankwaso recently claimed that he will win the 2027 election; where does that leave your ambition?”.

Peter Obi emphasized that his primary concern is not the 2027 election but rather the immediate well-being of Nigerians. He wants to see tangible improvements in their daily lives, such as lower fuel prices and affordable basic necessities like bread.

Obi stressed that he’s not fixated on becoming president and is instead focused on addressing the pressing issues of hunger and poverty affecting millions of Nigerians.

He believes that leaders should prioritize doing what’s right and setting a good example for future generations rather than being consumed by political ambitions.

Here is what Peter Obi said:

“I am not preoccupied by the 2027 election; I am preoccupied by Nigerians eating today and having a better life. I have said it before; my point is not about the election. I am not desperate to be president. What I want to hear is that fuel prices are coming down and bread is getting cheaper. You cannot be talking about millions of Nigerians facing hunger, and I will be talking about the next election. Let’s talk about hunger; let’s talk about doing the right thing; let’s talk about showing good examples to the younger ones.”….S££ _ MOR£
