One of the chieftains of the Labour Party, LP, Oseloka Obaze has reacted to viral report claiming that the former governor of Anambra state and LP candidate in the 2023 presidential election, Peter Obi has been arrested by DSS operatives.
The report claimed that Peter Obi was arrested at his residence in Abuja.
The report says;
“Peter Obi has been arrested by DSS at his home in Abuja this morning and whisked to an unknown detention facility, reportedly under orders from Tinubu’s government”.
However, Oseloka Obaze has now reacted after the report surfaced online.
In a post that he shared on his official X handle, he said the report is fake. He said the former governor of Anambra state was not arrested by the DSS. Oseloka Obaze, however, urged the public to disregard the information.
He said Peter Obi is not in Abuja and he is not under any house arrest.
Here is what Oseloka Obaze wrote on his official page;
“The public should please disregard the fake news trending on social media regarding the supposed arrest of Peter Obi in Abuja on 7th of January. PO is not in Abuja and he is not under house arrest”.
