Nigerian activist and African Action Congress, AAC candidate in the 2023 presidential election, Omoyele Sowore has reacted after court granted bail to human rights lawyer, Dele Farotimi.

This is coming after DAILY TRUST reported that the human rights lawyer was remanded in prison by a Magistrate Court in Ekiti state over an alleged defamation of Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Afe Babalola.

In the post that Omoyele Sowore shared on his official X handle on Monday, he said the first hurdle has been crossed. He said the human rights lawyer has been granted N50 million bail. The former presidential candidate stated that the case has been adjourned to 29th of January 2025.

Here is what Omoyele Sowore wrote on his page;

“The first hurdle was crossed. Dele Farotimi was granted bail of N50 million naira surety in the like sum with someone with landed property. The Case was Adjourned to 29 January 2025”.
