In a recent interview with Arise TV from 25:48, the Deputy Governor of Lagos State, Dr. Obafemi Hamzat, was asked to respond to a tweet by Bayo Onanuga, the special adviser on Information and Strategy to Tinubu, in which Onanuga stated that Igbos should no longer interfere in Lagos State politics

Hazmat said that if he had seen the tweet, he would have personally called Mr. Onanuga to discuss it and express his disapproval. He also promised to investigate the matter and speak to Onanuga about it.

In Hamzat’s words: “Like I said I didn’t see it, I am serious. I know him personally so it is something I could have called him and said ‘what are you doing?’ I will call him because it is wrong, it is just wrong. My mom lived in Zaria for 19 years and my father was the area manager for the whole of the north for IBWA. I lived in Kano, my father has a house in Kano, so it is absolute nonsense and that should not happen. We all need to be very careful, words do have consequences and as such people should not say things like that. So I will talk to him if it is true”….Sêe_Morē
