Alhaji Ahmed Yayare, the National Treasurer of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), expressed strong confidence in the party’s potential to secure both the presidency and vice presidency in the 2027 elections.
Yayare pointed out the critical issues of hunger and poverty faced by Nigerians, noting that these challenges have turned public opinion against the current administration.
During a visit to Governor Douye Diri in the Kolokuma/Opokuma Local Government Area, he indicated that the ongoing economic difficulties could enable the PDP to gain additional governorship positions in 2027.
He stated that the PDP, as a formidable opposition party, is uniquely positioned to compete with the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
Yayare emphasized that the PDP’s goal of producing the next president and vice president in 2027 is achievable, given the widespread concerns about hunger and poverty in the country.
According to Arise TV, Yayere said,
“Nothing stops the PDP producing the president and the vice president in 2027. The cry of hunger and poverty is too much in the land.”
