Bode George, former military governor of Ondo State and former Deputy National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has stated that it is undemocratic for Nyesom Wike to say that the PDP should not field a presidential candidate in the 2027 general election.
George said this in an interview from 17:51 with Arise TV, while reacting to reports that Nyesom Wike, Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, allegedly said for the PDP’s internal crisis to end the party must agree not to field a presidential candidate in 2027. George questioned why Wike would even make that kind of statement.
In Bode George’s exact words: “My young son, Wike, he said he will be quiet on the day that PDP does not present a candidate for presidency. I said what the heck is he saying. Is that democracy? Why should Wike be talking like that” View, More,
