A prominent member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and former senator representing Bayelsa, Ben Murray-Bruce, has shared his reaction after the federal government released the latest list of ambassadorial nominees submitted by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Murray-Bruce expressed his views in a message posted on his official X handle following the announcement. President Tinubu had earlier forwarded a list of 32 nominees to the Senate for screening and confirmation. The nominees are made up of 17 non-career diplomats and 15 career officers, who are expected to represent Nigeria in key international institutions and countries.
Reacting to the development, the former lawmaker extended his best wishes to the president and those who made the list. In his post, Senator Ben Murray-Bruce stated, “I congratulate President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on the appointment of the newly designated ambassadors. I am personally acquainted with several of them on the list and I have full confidence in their capacity to represent Nigeria with honour and distinction”.
He added that he believes the new appointees possess the experience and competence needed to strengthen Nigeria’s diplomatic engagements globally. View, More,
