In a statement on his official X account, Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei, has addressed the ongoing Middle East crisis.
His message came after Israel conducted airstrikes in Lebanon, which have expanded tensions in the region.
Khamenei urged all Muslims to support Lebanon and Hezbollah, following the attacks.
He stated that it is a duty for Muslims to assist in resisting what he described as the “malicious Zionist regime.”
“It is an obligation for all Muslims to stand with the people of Lebanon and the honorable Hezbollah, offering their resources and assistance as Hezbollah confronts the usurping, cruel, malicious Zionist regime,” Ali Khamenei wrote.
The Israeli airstrikes in Lebanon are part of a series of military actions in the region.
These actions has brought international concerns and increased fears of further violence in the Middle East.
Israel has justified the strikes as a response to threats from Hezbollah, a militant group based in Lebanon.
Hezbollah is known for its resistance against Israel and has strong ties to Iran.
The conflict between Israel and Hezbollah has a long history, dating back to the 1980s.
Hezbollah often receives political and military support from Iran.
In his message, Khamenei reiterated Iran’s backing of Hezbollah, calling on Muslims worldwide to contribute to this cause.
