Lere Olayinka, the Senior Special Assistant on Public Communication and New Media to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has issued a strong warning to stakeholders of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) regarding the party’s future.

Speaking during an interview on Channels Television from 2:13, he stated, “If we are not too careful, I am saying this as a warning to all the PDP stakeholders, if we are not too careful, this party might not have a candidate in 2027 because we will be in court.”

Olayinka’s statement reflects growing concerns about the internal crises within the PDP.

Disputes over leadership, candidate selection, and party structure have plagued the party in recent years, affecting its performance in elections.

If unresolved, these issues could lead to prolonged legal battles that may prevent the PDP from fielding a candidate in the 2027 presidential election.

His warning highlights the need for unity and conflict resolution within the party.

With the 2027 elections approaching, stakeholders must address internal divisions to remain a strong opposition force.

Failure to do so could weaken the party’s influence, giving its rivals a major advantage in the next electoral cycle
