Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara recently made a surprising revelation about Dr. Tammy Wenike Danagogo, the Secretary to the State Government (SSG). In a video that was shared by SYMFONI TV from 1.02, speaking during a special thanksgiving service held in Akuku-Toru Local Government Area to honor Danagogo, Governor Fubara praised the SSG’s courage and dedication.

The Governor shared that Danagogo had faced immense pressure, including being given an ultimatum to resign from his position. However, he commended Danagogo for standing firm and showing true honor during the difficult time. “It takes a man who believes in something and who is honorable to stand his ground,” Fubara remarked.

Governor Fubara also used the opportunity to reassure government officials and the public about his leadership style. He described his administration as one that prioritizes understanding and compassion. According to him, his approach is different from past practices where officials were often stressed to the point of health issues like high blood pressure.

“I don’t intend to give anybody BP (blood pressure),” the Governor said humorously. “There’s no commissioner here that has BP. Before, you used to have BP. Now, there’s no BP.”

He emphasized his commitment to correcting officials with love and respect, ensuring a healthier and more efficient government. Fubara concluded by highlighting the positive impact of this approach, saying, “This is the secret why my SSG’s wife no longer calls to ask if he has taken his drugs.”
