One of the chieftains of the Peoples Democratic Party and former Kaduna lawmaker who represented Kaduna Central at the National Assembly, Senator Shehu Sani has reacted after the Senate granted President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s loan request.
According to LEADERSHIP, the Senate has granted President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s request for the approval of N1.767 trillion loan to partially fund the N9.7trillion deficit in the N28.7trillion 2024 budget.
Reacting to the report on Saturday, Senator Shehu Sani said he doesn’t know how it happened within 48 hours.
The former Kaduna lawmaker saluted the 10th National Assembly for being faster than the 8th National Assembly.

“The committee receives the letter, set a date and summons the finance minister, DG budget, DG Debt management office and all heads of agencies factored in the loan.
“The committee reports back to the chamber and the report is debated. The Senate and the House concur. The lawmakers decide whether to approve or not to approve.
“I don’t know how all this happened in 48 hours. I salute the 10th NASS for being faster than the 8th NASS”.
