Kenneth Yowika, the publicity secretary of the sacked PDP executive committee in Rivers State, has expressed concerns about Governor Siminalayi Fubara’s loyalty to the party.
Speaking in a video shared by Symfoni TV from 9:28, Kenneth disclosed that, by official records, the governor is still considered a member of the PDP. He mentioned that during the party’s congresses, a seat was specifically reserved for the governor at the front, and his photograph was prominently displayed in the program. He stated that these actions demonstrated the party’s recognition of the governor as one of their own.
However, Kenneth said that the governor’s recent actions have raised doubts among party members about his allegiance.
In Kenneth’s words: “As it stands, we expect that by the books he should be a member of the PDP. During the congresses a seat was reserved for the governor right in front to be occupied. If you remember the program of the congresses, the photograph of the governor was where it was supposed to be. If we didn’t see him as part of us, it would not have been there but recent actions of the governor is begining to give all those within the folds doubt”
