Nigerian lawyer and human rights activist, Dele Farotimi has reacted to Mahdi Shehu’s comment after he was released from prison.
His statement is coming after Mahdi Shehu made the announcement on his official X handle.
In the post that Mahdi Shehu shared on his official page, he appreciated everyone who supported him and those who mocked him during his arrest, detention and incarceration.
Here is what he wrote on his page;
“During my arrest, detention and incarceration spanning 12 days, I have a duty and obligation to thank the following classes of people. Those who were genuinely worried, concerned, supportive and prayerful. I felt your prayers and they served the purposes they were meant for”.
However, Dele Farotimi has now reacted after the post surfaced online. In a post that he shared on his official X handle on Friday, he asked Mahdi Shehu to be comforted by the knowledge that he was freer than those who incarcerated him.
Here is what Dele Farotimi wrote on his page;
“Be comforted by the knowledge of the fact that you were freer than the morons responsible for your incarceration”.
