The former First Lady of Ondo state, Betty Akeredolu has taken to her official X account on Friday, November 21, 2025 to react to the statement that was made by Nigerian politician, Sam Amadi after Nnamdi Kanu was sentenced to life imprisonment.
According to the video that surfaced online, Sam Amadi stated that the trial of the leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra is a trial of Ndigbo. He urged the people in the Southeast region not to cause violence because of the judgement of the court.
Sam Amadi said that;
“The trial of Nnamdi Kanu is a political trial of Ndigbo. Even if those allegations are true, there will still be no trial as many Nigerians who are terrorists enablers are free. Ndigbo people are facing persecution and have been tried politically but we should resist the anger to turn it into violence or killings in the Southeast”.
Reacting, Betty Akeredolu said Sam Amadi has spoken the truth.
