Bayo Onanuga has taken to his official X account on Wednesday to react after some journalists enquired about the person running the affairs of the country since President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his Vice, Kashim Shettima left the country.
According to Bayo Onanuga, there is no vacuum in leadership since the President and Vice President travelled out of the country.
He said since Tinubu and Shettima left the country, all state organs have been functioning as usual. He said the Senate President, Godswill Akpabio the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, George Akume, all Ministers and Service Chiefs are all in their respective positions, ensuring the smooth operation of the government.
Bayo Onanuga said Nigeria had a similar situation in 2022 when former President, Muhammadu Buhari and former Vice President, Osinbajo were found to be simultaneously out of the country.
According to Bayo Onanuga on his page;
“All state organs are functioning as usual. The Senate President, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Ministers, and Service Chiefs are all in their respective positions, ensuring the smooth operation of the government”.
