The special adviser to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on media and public affairs, Temitope Ajayi, has taken to X (formerly known as Twitter) to once again slam the leader of the Conservative Party in the United Kingdom (UK), Kemi Badenoch, for telling the story of how the police allegedly stole her brother’s shoe in Nigeria, even though she was asked to talk about the state of police in the UK.
According to a post on the official X handle of Temitope Ajayi, the President’s Media Aide said Kemi Badenoch, who is the leader of an opposition party, ought not to have made such statements.
Temitope Ajayi had written, “You are a Kemi Badenoch, an opposition leader and a future Prime Minister of the UK. A journalist asked you about the state of police in the country you hope to govern. Instead of answering the question with how you would make the police more efficient and accountable in protecting the people of the UK, you resorted to an inane cock-and-bull story of how policemen stole your brother’s shoe in Nigeria.”
